Planning to move your site?

Handling a migration is one of the most daunting tasks that a website owner can undergo, so here at Spotlight Studios our site migration team will hold your hand during the whole website transfer process ensuring that your website is transferred correctly without any issues and/or an extended period of downtime.

The basic gig covers:

1. Migration of files and database to the new location.
2. Updates to any configurations files so the two can communicate.
   

During this process, you will be asked to change/update the DNS records on your domain name to point A-records or update to the new name servers (this is so your domain www.example.com knows where to look for your new site). If you are unfamiliar with this process or you'd prefer us to handle them, just check them on the add-ons section (provide us with admin access) and we'll take care of these for you also.

Once the task has started the migration can take up to 72 hours to propagate around various servers.
