A favicon is an small image file visible in the web browser of a website. It is created to help visitors locate a certain website when having many open tabs. It also assists in site branding and authenticity. You will find a favicon on your bookmarks, on your toolbar, tabs, browsing history and search results.
The image file must be in icon format with the extension .ico.
